AWANA

AWANA is for all kids age 4 years old through 7th grade. We meet from 4:00 – 5:15PM the 1st and 3rd Sunday. We have some fun special evenings always coming up.  On December 7th we will be making Christmas cards for our shut in members.  Then join us and bring as a friend on December 21st as we go Christmas Caroling and deliver those beautiful cards! 

We will be meeting the first and third Sunday of each month. We hope to see you there!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES

Thank you to everyone who donated items for the boxes and to the Committee for all of their behind the scenes work.  As a congregation we donated 177  BOXES 📦 

CHRISTMAS CAROLING FOR ALL!! 

We will be gathering together on Sunday, December 21st at 5:30 PM and go Christmas caroling. We will be going to visit and bring joy to our shut ins!  It will be a joyous night for all!

SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING

We will be ringing bells at both doors at Walmart on Friday, December 5th from 4-8 PM.  There is a signup sheet on the foyer table.  If you have any questions, contact the church office at 815-942-0812.

LADIES CHRISTMAS BREAKAST AND ORNAMENT EXCHANGE

Let’s gather together again on Saturday, December 6th at 10 AM.  All ladies are invited! This will be a wonderful time of fellowship and laughter with one another as we kick off the season.  You are welcome to bring a dish to share if you wish and a small gift to exchange (under $15).  There is a sign up sheet on the foyer table.  Please BRING A FRIEND!  The more the merrier!

CHRISTMAS SENIOR LUNCHEON 

Let’s gather together on Thursday, December 11th from 12:00 – 1:30 PM.  We will enjoy a soup and sandwich luncheon and have an opportunity to celebrate our Savior’s birth.  There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

LIVE NATIVITY

Mark your calendars and step back in time to the Live Nativity Event here at First Baptist Church.  Let’s celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with the birth of Jesus.  There will be live animals and even Humphrey the camel will make another appearance!  There is no charge but we will be collecting food items for We Care for our community.  Join us from 5:00 – 8:00 PM – Rain or Shine on Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th!
